Halloween!!

We got to extend our Halloween festivities on to the next night at a Costume Party held at a friend's house. We had fun hanging out and dancing. We dressed as Fred and Wilma Flintstone to compliment our Pebbles.
Our good friends cracked me up with their costumes. Can you guess who they are?

THE FLINTSTONES came to life!!

That evening we went to a "Trunk or Treat" at a local church. We went through pretty quickly and sort of broke in line, but we had fun at that and then went to have pizza together as a family. She was good at the restaurant and finally fell asleep in the car on the way home. It was a big day for her and she had a blast!!

Home after the carnival at work. She is so excited to be Pebbles. She knew she was cute.

Kayla had fun Trick or Treating at Chad's work that afternoon. She would pick up the candy from each cubicle and run to the next one. She got the hang of it pretty quickly. She would throw down the candy that was in her hand and pick up another piece. It was our job to pick up the trail of candy behind her. It was really fun to see her have this new experience.

That morning we had a "playdate" at a friend's house and we dressed all the kids up to take pictures. Their kids were so very cute. This is Ethan (he's about 15 months old). His lion costume was pretty awesome.

All the kids together.

Our little Pebbles. It was pretty obvious what she would be for Halloween this year b/c of her red hair. I just had to see what she would look like in a Pebbles outfit. She turned out to prove me right. She fit the part perfectly.

Pumpkin Patch

This weekend (the day after Halloween), Nan and PaPaw came in for a short visit and we visited the Pumpkin Patch again. They didn't have as many pumpkins, but we got to ride Kayla around on the wagon and take some good family pics.

We all went to the local Pumpkin Patch a week before Halloween. It was all set up cute with all the pumpkins and photo ops. Kayla had fun and we got to dress her up in her warm fall outfit.

"I want this one Mommy"

These huge pumpkins make her look really small.

Going back home in September

An example of what Kayla likes to do in the kitchen. Nan got out all her plastic containers so she could play. Kayla loves it.
She got to ride the carousel at the mall too. She was pretty nervous at first, but then knew that Daddy was right there with her.

We got to visit with my family some too. She had fun playing with PaPa.

Chad's mom and Aunt Cathy loved to dress Kayla up in a cute little West Monroe, Rebels cheerleading suit. She looked really cute and she knew it. She loved to pose and show it off.

With cousin Amy at the Rebels game. I swear, when she holds Kayla, she looks like her mom b/c of the red hair. I tell everyone that she got her red hair from her.

Nan and Papaw love to have Kayla in the stands with them and show her off to all their friends. They are pretty smitten with her.

Grandma & Grandpa got to see Kayla and gave her a sweet doll. It was so funny though b/c the doll said "I love you very much" when you pressed her tummy. The funny thing was that it said it in Spanish. It was very special though b/c only Grandma would give her that b/c she has poor hearing and poor vision. It was very cute and we will always remember that.

Kayla loves her doll and will hug it when she sees it. She had a great time at the G parent's house.
She loved swinging in their patio chair outside.

Aunt CaCa and cousin Allie are so much fun and they can't wait to see Kayla. They are great babysitters when we try to go out to the movies for a date when we come in town. They have to get their "Kayla fix" every so often. Now that we realized we can talk with the web cam, I think they can see Kayla more often. I love modern technology.

Kayla got to visit Nan at her work place when we went home this past September. Nan went back to work as a teacher b/c she's so great at it and she really missed the kids. (and they missed her). She was really excited about introducing Kayla to all her good teacher friends and the students. Kayla didn't know what to think though. She didn't change her "solomn" look the whole time.
Kayla loves her Nan and Nan loves for her to reach up to her. (Especially in front of her kids)

Razorback game

We dressed up Kayla in a cute Razorback outfit at the 1st game this season. We tailgated with some friends and my family was in town so they came with us. She was filthy the whole time out there b/c it was in the rocky/ uneven dirt. She loves to pick up rocks and put them in her mouth.

My mom, Kayla, and I at the tailgating. Kayla wasn't too happy here.

She's grown up so much from last year's games. I love how we've grown as a family.

Tristin in town

Last weekend my sister Brittany, Chris and Tristin came to visit for their vacation. We had a lot of fun shopping and watching the babies play together.

The girls got to go to a friend's birthday party. It was a backyard pool party. I was very hopeful by putting on Kayla's swimsuit and thinking she would get in the kiddie pool. She stepped one foot in and hated the water. She spent the whole time walking around in the grass and exploring all the toys. She really liked the car.
Tristin looking cute in her swimsuit.
She loved her first popsicle. Mommy was wiping her mouth every second b/c it was so messy.
Tristin and Kayla having fun in the wagon. They took a rid around the neighborhood.
Kayla didn't know what to think of her new hairdo.

Cutie girls on the slide at the park.

She has learned how to climb stairs now, but hasn't mastered going down.

She loves to talk on our phones nowdays and will put it up to her ear and say "hey-doo"
"I love to ride the pony, clippity clop, clippity clop"

Kayla loves her table and chairs and will look at books at it. Not for very long though. Her attention span is about 4 seconds nowdays.
