12 month appointment and Walking

Not very happy, but trying to walk in the kitchen. This is right when we get home in the afternoon and she's not real happy at this time b/c its right before dinner. And, of course, DaDa isn't home yet.
She can walk a lot more than she thinks she can. She's still a little fearful and unsure about the whole walking thing. She will walk about 4 steps from one furniture to another around the house. The longest I've seen her walk is about 7 steps. She is getting more confident and daredevilish. She does it more when she's in a happy mood.

This night, we went to the new Fast Lanes bowling alley and arcade in Lowell. It was opening night and everything was brand new. I even think she was the first one to use the baby changing station and she broke it in by pooping on it. This night was the first night we really saw her walking a lot. The people beside us bowling were laughing b/c we were praising her so much for walking from one seat and table to the next. We're so proud of her!!
Monday, June 23 we had her 12 month Dr. appointment. She had shots and this is a pic of all of the band-aides from all the sticks. It was really sad to see. I had to hold her down as 2 nurses gave her shots at one time. She really cried this time b/c it really startled her. I was the only one there to comfort her as Chad was just getting back from New York. (I told him to put some pics on here from the trip. He took good pictures.)
Anyway, all is well and healthy with Kayla. She's 21.4 lbs. and I forgot the other stats. She's in the 50th percentile with height and around 75th with weight. The Doc said that should level out this year. She still has a heart murmur, but we went to the cardiologist and found out that her heart is working well with no problems. We will just monitor it as needed.
She's on track with everything developmentally apparently. Even though I think she's not talking as much as she needs to, he said as long as she's saying MaMa and DaDa then its good. It made me feel better to see her walking now. We're mixing the Go and Grow formula with whole milk right now in a sippy cup and she doesn't drink as much as she used to. The doc said that her appetite will go down and I think it is. She's still eating well though and eating more variety that she wouldn't before.
Kayla loves to play on her slide and open the door to her clubhouse. She's exploring it more nowdays and even trying to climb up on the platform.

She loves to put on DaDa's shades and she'll clap everytime she puts them on as to say, "Hey I'm cool. Look at me!"
